Someone recently placed a help notice within the Event Management UK group on LinkedIn. They were seeking a `gay friendly’ venue in London. Manual handling accidents account for more than 1/3 of all reported at-work accidents, of which 2/3 involve an over-three day injury. The most common injury is to the back and/or spine. From April 2010, the fine for serious breaches of the Data Protection Act (DPA) increased to £500,000 and consideration is being given to custodial sentences in the future.
