Relevant Risk is an organisation that works with individuals and businesses that plan, or are actively involved with events. We assist in ensuring that compliance and legislation that is directly relevant to events is known and understood, not only by employers but, importantly, by actively involved employees.
It is the employees who plan and implement the events who are entrusted to ensure risks are minimised.
It is the employees who plan and implement the events who are responsible for ensuring the paper-trail is in place.
But it is the employer who must ensure the employee knows and understands the legislation and compliance in relation to event planning.
And it is the employer who must answer to the authorities should an accident or incident happen.
We know this only too well. Relevant Risk Limited has been established by Alison McDougall, who has spent 20 years working in event management, including owning her own business. Been there, done that
We have been involved with product sampling, roadshows, exhibitions, conferences, hospitality, motor racing, seminars, product launches, dinners, dances, golf tournaments, press parties, powerboat racing, air shows and more.
Blood and guts
We have dealt with the fire brigade, the police, the ambulance service, the coast guard and the armed forces when it has gone wrong - and not necessarily for our clients, or on our show site!
We are, first and foremost, event management experts and we have loved it all. (Mostly!)
Relevant Risk is not about telling you what you know. It is about helping you assess what you or your employees may not know.
It is about sharing knowledge; mixing it with rules – putting aside the stuff that is irrelevant and applying the rest to event management, for the benefit of all those that love working on events.
